FOR MENTAL HEALTH COLLEAGUES – COLLABORATIVE TREATMENT FOR PSYCHIATRIC ILLNESSES

I am an Ivy-league educated and trained medical doctor with Board Certification in psychiatry and neurology. I conduct psychiatric consultations that lead to the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of mental illnesses.

My evaluation focuses on the issues identified in the referral but also includes a complete review of medical and psychiatric symptoms. This evaluation leads to specific treatment recommendations.

I treat a range of psychiatric illnesses, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, substance abuse, and personality disorders.

I work in a highly collaborative style. Communicating directly with the referring therapist, I coordinate the patient’s care. Upon subsequent patient visits, I remain in close contact with the referring therapist, conferring frequently on medical and medication adjustments. I welcome collegial involvement and integrate the therapist’s recommendation into my treatment.

My practice adheres to the highest professional and ethical standards. I have absolutely no contact with pharmaceutical companies and their representatives.

In addition, I am fluent in Greek.
